It was wonderful to come upon your site today and read about your natural ministrations to your horses and the frightened dog. I have used essential oils on my dog & cat family members with tremendous success for nearly two decades now. I generally use organic Bulgarian Lavender on any wounds they sustain. One time my cat came home with half his face inflated from an infected puncture wound sustained in a fight - I applied a drop of Lavender and his face deflated and the infection cleared. It's tricky using oils on animals since their tolerance of these intensely concentrated and highly aromatic oils overwhelm them - so use a drop - maybe two if necessary and then monitor closely. Don't be surprised when they go and hide from you after you have the nerve to do such a thing to them! Another reason to be very careful - is that their liver must process the oils in their system and you don't want to overwhelm their organs. For more info on aromatherapy essential oils and all kinds of cutting edge health info such as an amazing natural cancer cure (I melted two tumors off my dog's head in one week with this "cure") - visit my site: http://www.malibukim.com.
